Hello! I’m new here and like many others, found this forum after purchasing retail from a HGVC sales presentation. In the package, HGVC provided a notice of cancellation with addresses and fax number. Yesterday I tried to fax the signed notice back to them, but of course the number was not valid. So I mailed it priority to the address on the form, and now also wondering if that address is correct. When I googled the address, The Grand Waikikian popped up. Has anyone sent a cancellation notice to Hawaii recently and have an address? I’m planning to send another letter certified today just to be safe. We have until tomorrow, which is 7 days. Thanks in advance and so glad I found this forum!

welcome to TUG! Glad you found us and are able to rescind in time. Def send a certified letter and save the tracking. I think you’re fine with the priority mailing as long as you have proof of the letter being sent.

do you mind telling us how much the contract was for? We like to track how much TUG has saved people from rescinding. Again. Congrats of saving a ton. Now buy resale!

The address on the form may or may not be correct.
Look at your contract. Find the provision for rescinding.
Only the address stated there is the correct address.

Yes, I did that and found the correct fax number as well. I already received a confirmation of receipt and cancellation from Hilton. Then several hours later get a call from the sales rep, which I ignored.

Welcome and good save! I recently paid less than that for 2 BR plus Lagoon 8400 points in plat season (resale). This place is a great resource (I educate myself for ten years before buying ).

Welcome to TUG. That is GREAT news. You definitely did the right thing because that deed didn't have enough points for you to enjoy HGVC besides being too expensive.

While the sales people are, well, timeshare sales people for the most part (although definitely not all), the rescission folks are very professional and on the up-and-up. They don't play games.

Cheers.
