We stayed 3 nights last week in a 1-bedroom on the 7th floor, so it was a renovated unit.
Not really impressed with the new retro furniture. Maybe it made sense putting 50's style furniture into South Beach, but who was the genius who designed the new interiors at Flamingo? While I like the red/brown colors better than the original interiors, the furniture overall is pretty bad looking..And they actually charged us a Special Assessment for this stuff? The cherry cabinets/countertops (didn't look like granite to me; most likely one of the man-made solid surface products) look nice.
They also redid the showers because some leaked. Well, the new shower in our unit leaked all over the floor too. So much for that improvement.
Let's get real. Over $25,000 Special Assessment for each unit, on top of what should have already been in the replacement fund? No way they spent $25,000 on each unit. If they didn't get a decent discount on evrything since they were buying 200+ of all items, somebody needs to get fired.
Overall, it's OK, but should have been much better for what we got charged..The units should look nicer than LV Hilton or LV Strip, but I don't think they do because of the poor choice of furnishings.
I'll get over it, but I expected better for what we got dinged for on this deal.
