HGVC "bonus / extra weeks"

Hello everyone,

I had a general question about bonus time, extra weeks, last calls or whatever you want to call it.

Does HGVC have an internal bonus week type system or last minute deal type thing?

I understand they are affiliated with Interval and they have a system, but seeing that I already own timeshares that give me access to both RCI and Interval which I frequently use, I was wondering if HGVC had their own internal type bonus system.

If I were to buy an HGVC timeshare would I get any benefit to any type of last minute / bonus / extra inventory?

There are no bonus weeks in HGVCs system.

There is Open Season which is cash reservations within 30 days. You don't have to take a full week. You can take as little as two days in Open Season.

Yes. You can book any HGVC in a 30 day window for a cash price, which is frequently a discounted rate. You will also have RCI (which you already have) and that gives you the RCI last call.

Thanks buzglyd and presley.

Could you write some examples of some of the offers?
How much per day, which resorts, etc so I can get an idea. Thank you.

You can make an open season cash reservation at HGVC and affiliated resorts starting 30 days prior to your check-out date and up to one day prior to your check-in date. Here is an illustrative example: The platinum season at Grand Pacific Palisades in Carlsbad, California consists of weeks 22 – 42, 51 – 52. A three bedroom open season reservation during platinum season is $200 (excluding taxes) for each night Sunday - Thursday and $230 (excluding taxes) for each night Friday-Saturday.
The gold season at Grand Pacific Palisades in Carlsbad, California consists of weeks 1 – 21, 43 – 50. A three bedroom open season reservation during gold season is $190 (excluding taxes) for each night Sunday - Thursday and $190 (excluding taxes) for each night Friday-Saturday.

Just remember, availability is usually limited or none existent for high demand locations or weeks. Last call can get you a 2 br in Orlando at a resort for less than 300 bucks for a week. .

Thanks guys.

I have a very flexible travel schedule (work via laptop) and have had fun taking advantage of RCI last calls / extra vacations, and Interval Intl. deals.

Trying to figure out how to gain more options for "bonus" week programs.
I can do last minute bookings, off season etc.

If you're a vet or DoD try afvc. About 350 a week for space A.
