The 1 and 4 rule applies to trades into units through rci into hgvc resorts as states but if you are a hgvc member you do not have that limitation as you are an owner. Doug

This rule applies PER RESORT not towards the entire HGVC systemwide. If you exchange into a specific resort you cannot trade back into the SAME resort within 4 calendar years. You can stay at HGVC Seaworld one year and HGVC I-Drive the next for example.

Really? So, if I own at HGVC Seaworld, I can't got to Hilton Hawaiian Village 2 years in a row on exchange?

There's definitely some confusion then with the HGVC counselors.

I exchanged into HGVC Seaworld (I own HGVC) and was told I could only do this once every four years (and I called HGVC not RCI when I booked).

I also just booked an exchange (via HGVC) into Fairfield in Hawaii and was told that it was also a 1-in-4 (that I could not book that same resort for 4 years).
