Someone reported elsewhere that they paid $10,500 for Max and 7400 Bonus Points. Not quite $7K...but that's the first time I've read of someone getting HGVC Max without needing to upgrade or buy a new deed (aside from the 'glitch' Max status changes reported on TUG).

Good to know. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a credible report of anyone (that knows) believing the benefits of MAX are worth $7k or $10.5k.

Why would you pay $10.5K for nothing but some bonus points and enrollment? Can't you at least get a small contract/deed of points for that amount to also get into Max?

Forever Maintenance on a small contract vs one time payment.

We’ve had a number of reports of HGV requiring that owners who only purchased resale pay a minimum of $25K in deeds or upgrades to get Max. And only a couple of direct purchasers who were offered Max for a $7K purchase…a $10K minimum seems to be more standard.

Also as @SmithOp alluded to, I have no idea what deeds HGV was willing to sell for $7K. They could well be worse than useless.

They are dogs that will need to be traded in to get rid of.

I looked at it and just can't justify having to pay a ton of money for the right to basically trade away my high quality HGVC stays to get into (mostly) much lower quality accommodation.
