Just wondering what are the limitation of the HGV App vs. HGVwe site. Here are some I can point out:
1. HGV App cannot be used for RCI bookings or last min deals

2. HGV App does not also show Hilton Last mins deals

There may be many more. Let’s hear from the experienced HGV owners.
Thanks

1.You can access your rci link from the app and making bookings.
2. You can view open season availably from the app.

Not sure what app you are referring to but it doesn't sound like the HGV app.

The app is much more friendly on a tablet then phone. I can find the RCI links on my iPad no problem, but they are harder to find on my iPhone.

The biggest issue I have with the app is the booking mechanism. I love the desktop version where I can see the available dates and slide the reservation where I need it. The app’s mechanism is much more restrictive than the desktop. I actually like the app for other needs. That’s how I pay my MF’s and get my info on my reservations.

I mostly do my booking from my laptop with the website. However i do use the android version of the HGV app. I do see Open Season as option in the android version, but i have not used that.

I don't really use RCI so have not noticed if its missing.

I never use the app. I access the HGVC website via my iPad, desktop or laptop.

I wonder how many folks actually use the HGVC app and why? I normally don’t use an app unless a company provides a unique mobile feature/enhancement that’s unavailable via their company website.

Maybe edit your original post and add a Poll Question (Do you use the HGVC app? YES OR NO)

Interesting question. I follow several Facebook HGV groups and I get the impression that most people in those groups tend to use the app. Maybe a younger group there?

I like and use the app. I don't make primary booking on there but if I want a general idea of availability or want to walk a reservation on the fly, the app is definitely serviceable.

For #1, (I'm using iOS app), it's under the top "membership" and then you scroll until you see RCI logo (2nd item up from the bottom of the list). It basically launches a web browser session into the RCI website.

For #2, you select Booking (at the bottom of the app) and then at the top of the screen, select Open Season.

It under Membership on the Android version as well. I never would have looked there for RCI. Learn something new everyday.
