Help with First II Exchange - Choosing Dates

My wife and I recently completed the resale purchase of an II-affiliated 4 br lockoff. Our II account is now set up, and I have deposited both sides as individual 2 br units. I am trying to set up an OGS, but am definitely more familiar with the RCI setup. After searching previous TUG posts, I think I understand how it works, but wanted to be sure.

We want to put in a search for several Orlando area resorts for Christmas break ‘22. I put in the resort codes and dates, which was a bit confusing as II changed my check-in dates to Dec 22 - 29 (Thursday to thursday). After doing some searching, I understand this is normal, and focuses on the Fri/Sat/Sun days in between. However, because we will be driving, we can only realistically check in on the 24th or 25th (Sat or Sun). I read at least one post that said I will need to call in to narrow the check-in dates as I can’t do that online.

If all of that is correct the only question I have is, do I set up the OGS online with the 22-29 window and then call in to modify it to 24,25 only, or do I do the whole process via phone? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You can do either: (1) set up the on-going search and then call in, or (2) do it all on the phone. Both will work.

Check the directory to confirm the actual check-in dates for the resorts that you are focusing on. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the most popular check-in days. But sometimes a resort may have only a single check-in day.

Thank you! I called in today and set it all up. Had to extend my membership by another year because it is so far out, but makes sense. Now the waiting game.
