I recently purchased a timeshare with Vistana/Sheraton Flex Vacations and am having a bit of buyers remorse; I’ve obviously already surpassed the time limit to rescind my contract, I’ve contacted the company to see about buyback (which they said they do not do), so can anyone help advise me as to what options I have to get out/rid of the timeshare??

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for your response, DeniseM! There is no way to sell or deed to someone else?

If you stop paying, Vistana will send you to collections and your credit will be affected, not to mention phone calls that will hound you for years. You signed a contract and at this juncture, unless it is real hardship, you should just pay it off and learn how to best use it. Buyer's remorse does not get you out of a contract which you have signed. Most of us bought from the developer and we learned how to best use it for the same reason as to why it sounded like a good idea when we first bought. Make use of it to make great memories for your family. Stay around in TUG and you will learn about the ins and outs of timesharing.

Until it is paid off you cannot sell it. Flex points system unfortunately has no value on the resale market.

Is it paid in full? Did you pay for it all upfront or finance the purchase? If it is paid in full, you can certainly sell or give it away. The Sheraton Flex points aren't real sought after on the resale market, but they have a little resale value. You can sell it or give it away, just expect to lose most of the upfront price you paid for the points. This is why you are better to learn how to use the points you bought. You could be out 75-95% of what you paid if you try to sell it now on the resale market.

A second to the advice from dioxide45 - learn how to get the greatest value from what you now own, until you are either able to sell it, or get comfortable with your ownership. The good news is that Vistana has some great properties, and you will, through your ownership, have access.
