Help in these Unprecedented times
Here is an example of An Outpouring of Support for Veterans and Staff
Throughout the past several weeks, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Maryland has been the recipient of an outpouring of community support. Charlotte Hall is usually a community full of life with strong volunteer and donor programs in place. Under the new guidelines, no visitors nor volunteers are allowed to enter the building at this time to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Community supporters reached out to Charlotte Hall staff to find out ways to help while still complying with the new regulations.
Support has come in through donations of snacks, toiletry items, handmade fabric masks, additional Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), and even catered meals. Veterans Service Organizations, clubs of all kinds, local restaurants, small and large business and individual community members have offered support.
Hopefully others in communities across the US will help support our seniors,
hospital staff, nursing home staff and residents and so many others in need.
