There were many stories of how they would "treat" bats by taking a nail gouging out the soft material in the grain of the wood and pack in rosin to make the bat harder.

At some point they will go to aluminum bats. They put lights in Wriggly field, so why not?

I do not feel MLB will ever go to the aluminum bars. The ball will travel to fast for the infielders to catch and the players will be hitting more homeruns. I feel with the aluminum bats in the major league the average player could hit fifty (50) homeruns per year. IMHO.

Pitchers, will be upset because their era will be sky high and they will be given up more hits and homeruns. IMO.

Was Pete Rose the only major league player using corked baseball bats back in the day.? No.
