Hawaiian closing company?

I'm giving one of my PAHIO Kauai Beach Villas timeshares to a close friend. I received information in the mail today from Wyndham, telling me what needs to be filed to change the deed to the new owner. I'm not up to speed on doing this myself, and I'd prefer hiring a closing company in Hawaii to process the paperwork. Can someone recommend a reliable, affordable company in the Islands that can do this quickly?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave, it is not a company in Hawaii, but Chicago title can do closing (title search, escrow and if needed, title insurance) for you. I have read their closing instruction paper, and it mentioned about closing process in Hawaii and title insurance. I am happy with Chicago title so far, they are working for my HGVC closing at this moment.

We used Island Title for both of our Hawaii closings and were very happy with them.

I used JRA services who actually got a company in Hawaii to do a lot of the closing. Everything went great. You need to be prepared for Wyndham to try and exercise ROFR even though they don't have ROFR on this property. Read some threads here to be prepared to fight Wyndham on this. If you sell it to your friend for $1 I feel sure that Wyndham will try to get it. Don't let them rob your friend of the gift you are trying to give them. Several here have fought the ROFR successfully and can tell you how to do it.

Of course with the current air fare situation Wyndham might not even want to ROFR anymore.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I'll look into these companies.

As for the ROFR issue, I've already got it covered. (Tombo, I'm one of those who successfully fought ROFR on my last KBV purchase.) I sent a letter to Wyndham about this two months ago. They referred me back to PAHIO. I called PAHIO and spoke with Lori Nishimoto, the person who generates the ROFR demand letters we all know about. She assures me that this unit I'm giving my friend won't have any ROFR issues. It could be because I'm not selling the unit, or it may be because it's a lagoon view unit, not oceanview. Either way, I think it'll be okay.
