Hawaii Summer Airfare (2009)

Our family of four will be traveling from the Bay Area to Honolulu next summer (July 4-18). Out of curiosity, I checked for airfares from SFO to HNL today and the best I could find was $798 on American and $900 on United. I then checked a website www.bestfares.com and they were advertising a roundtrip fare of $515 on United (inclusive of taxes and fees). Without hesitation, I booked the fare for four people, only to find out that the website would let me know in 2-12 hours if the fare was still available. As you can imagine, I wrote this one off as just another bait and switch.

Within 10 minutes, I had an email confirming the reservation, went to the United website and sure enough, it was there, even with seat assignments. What was even better was the airfare was now confirmed at $475 roundtrip per person inclusive of all taxes and fees.

If anyone is planning a trip to Hawaii next summer, you may want to check out this site now.

I love Bestfares.com they have been good to me also! Congrats! that is an excellent deal. I just got back in August from a fare I purchased this Jan. for $648 to go to Kona, Big Island so you definately beat my price.

Best fares is sometimes good but you have to belong to them to get these good fares. Many times I have clicked on to get the fare and they switch with added fees and taxes. It isn't always inclusive!
