Each morning I receive a text message reminding me to "check-in" on website. I am surprised it only asks me to reply to one question -- am I in quarantine at location specified -- Yes or No.

I was expecting to see the standard list of symptoms with yes or no required, thinking they would be tracking potential outbreaks.

Anyone else surprised by this?

I think it is all about following the quarantine so it makes sense.

Maybe the assumption is if you are in quarantine you are "okay". And I wonder what would happen if you answered "No".

Keep in mind they can easily verify the validity of your answer "if" they are using additional methods to track you, i.e. cell phone signals.......

Also, Marriott has stiff security in place. I think that is part of making the list of "approved" quarantine locations. Yesterday, my in room phone stopped working. After I called to report the problem:
1. Security escort took me to a new temporary room.
2. Maintenance repaired the phone, and my room was sanitized (using a UVRay machine)
3. Security escorted me back to my room.

My time -- a couple hours -- in a lovely corner room with mountain view made me appreciate my little spot all the more. I think it is easier to achieve peace of mind with only the ocean in view and the subtle sound of surf. The other room had the sounds of children running in the outdoor corridor and a variety of large trucks.

On my return trip I caught a glimpse of the pool area and asked if I could take a photo. It was busier than I expected.

We are at Marriott’s Waiohai on Kauai on day 7 of quarantine. Because the people at Lihue airport refused to process our QR code for safe travels but had all arrivals fill out a paper form ‘arrive Kauai’ we don’t get the texts from safe travels. We still fill it out every day. Just the one question.
We have also found that the Marriott staff are very attentive. When we order from restaurants it is the front desk that brings up the food. We leave garbage outside the door and today they brought us more toilet paper etc and left it outside the door and just knocked.

Sound very similar to my experience here. I checked in on Sunday, 10/04.
Been wondering what my actual day of release will be -- is day one 10/04 or 10/05?

I guess the resort is nearly empty? Did you get one of the better ocean view rooms in building 1 or 8?

Hi,
Only buildings one and two were open when we arrived. We had a resort view reservation but we are in building 2 with a side view of the ocean so that is great. Two of our weeks are on AC’s so the cost for even a partial ocean view is fantastic.

I noticed today a family in building 7 with just a resort view.

Hi,
When we arrived at the airport on Kauai on Friday the 2nd they gave us a sheet that said when we were out of quarantine. It is exactly 14 days from when we signed the paper so 4:40 pm Friday...two weeks after we arrived. So I would expect your quarantine would be over exactly 14 days from when you did your safe travels at the airport. So sometime on the Sunday.

Thanks. The page I received at airport only set out the rules and penalties. Sounds like I can answer my morning report on Sunday (assuming they send mr a reminder) check out when I am ready, and move on to my non-quarantined location.

I will have 2 weeks of freedom and expect granddaughter and fiance to join me for my last week -- a 2 bedroom at MOC which I obtained at a bargain price A/C. They will need to comply with submission of test results.
