Do any of the Hawaii marriott's allow you to buy Christmas week instead of a season (like platinum)? Also is there an EOY option available?

If so, about what is the price range and has it been holding up or falling?

I've seen resales of week 52s listed for most of the Hawaii Marriotts, except Waiohai. I think there are links to the season charts that owners can provide.

Maui has fixed week 52 and some fixed week 51.
Lahaina and Napili have a variety.

Waiohai has fixed weeks 51 & 52.

Kauai Beach has only floating weeks.

Terry,
I assume these are what you see as the "Platinum Plus" weeks when you look at each resorts' calendar on the MVCI www.vacationclub.com web site. Correct?

Actually... buildings 1 to 3 have weeks 1 to 51 as float and week 52 as fixed. Buidlings 4 to 8 have weeks 1 to 50 as float and weeks 51 and 52 are fixed.

I wasn't aware that there were any week 51 floats (we own a fixed week 51, gardenview) and the buildings 1,2, 7 and 8 consist of both ocean and gardenview so I'm not sure why they would differ in how their reservations are structured.

To the OP, the developer does not sell EOY fixed weeks. Haven't seen them on the market either. I've also noticed that there are no more preview packages to Waiohai. It's a small property and I believe the fixed weeks are pretty much sold out.

The entire resort is 98% sold!

I'm not sure I follow your question or comment here. But if you go to vacationclub.com and look at the Waiohai calendar you'll see they have different float weeks for buildings 1-3 versus buildings 4-8.

When everyone buys they are assigned a week and building for tracking purposes. My understanding is that when they opened the earlier buildings they only had week 52 as the fixed week. I remember our salesperson telling us that. It really doesn't matter what the reason was. You cannot change a deed after the fact. However, the week that is deeded to you is never the week that you'll be assigned to at check-in.
