We are looking for a reputable closing company in Hawaii that can assist us in transferring title of our timeshares. Can anyone recommend a closing company that they have had a good experience with a reasonable cost? Thank you.

We just closed on a new timeshare purchase at the Point at Poipu. I was very happy with using First American Title for escrow and closing, although it was more expensive than I was expecting. We used them because they are the title company recommended by RedWeek.com. We were staying at the Point at Poipu when closing came due, so they FedExed the final papers to us, we found a local notary, and FedExed them back. We've already booked our week in 2013. :whoopie:

How much did First American Title cost?

We're looking to transfer a title within the family....

It was $1300 for doing the escrow, closing, and title insurance. You may not need that much if you're doing it within the family. I was buying from someone I didn't know, and didn't want to pay the rest of the special assessment if the title was bad.

I'm in the process of transferring two Hawaii timeshares that I've given away. I'm using Legal Timeshare Transfer, and they're charging under $200 (plus the resort transfer fee, if your resort charges one). So far they've been very fast and professional.
