We are giving away our 2 timeshares as a bundle.
1. Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, Even Year Float, Platinum Season, 148,100 Star Options, Mandatory resort
2. Westin Desert Willow Villas, Even Year Float, Gold Season, 56,300 Star Options

Please note that we are giving them away as a bundle. We have been using them together so that we can stay in Hawaii or Palm Springs for 10 or more days at a time. We are NOT giving them away individually.

Both are current on due's, so there is no cost to you. We have Star Options banked for 2023 and first usage would be 2024.

That is true. We have bought Kaanapali from resale. We have been primarily using WDW, when combined with Hawaii timeshare star options, one can stay about 10 days in 2 bedrooms.

Yes, there are similar reports. It varies a lot from person to person, HOA to HOA. I have contacted them a while back and will contact them again.

So you're paying $2800 to stay 10 days in Palm Springs.

Yes, which is comparable to renting a house with a pool for the same period from AirBnB or VRBO. Actually, it was comparable before COVID, after COVID rental prices increased substantially both at AirBnB and VRBO. Surprisingly it is cheaper to stay at timeshare now. Same math goes for Hawaii. $2800 for 10 days in Hawaii is substantially cheaper than renting a house (for example a 2/3 bedroom with a pool).

Thank you all for comments and interest. I have few people interested. I will keep it updated here as we go through the transfer process. In the meantime, if anyone has experience or tips regarding ROFR, I appreciate if you can send me a message and share your tips.

Yeah, you should probably consider how to do this carefully or else they're just ROFR the WKORV week. There have some some posts on this topic in past years to creatively construct a deal so that Marriott can't easily buy it...you may want to search for them.

Agree that Hawaii is still good for ts. I'm a 1BR single traveler so timeshares are becoming less beneficial now. The benefit to ts has always between booking peak times a year out.

Your math is correct. For a Palm Springs rental, it depends on the time. For a rental around Christmas time, that is comparable. If you go to Palm Springs in off season, you can find rentals cheaper than that. For Hawaii, regardless of season if you can find a rental cheaper than $6K with a pool or within walking distance of a beach, please let me know.

We just came back for the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resorts on Saturday. We've been there many times and love it there but didn't buy until this week. We bought access to all the Westin's in Kaanapali for $35k, 148,100 pts every other year. We are still debating as we are in our 10 day look period, but am thinking we should just get a resale on Redweek 2 bedroom Westin Kaanapali. If people can give us feedback on which way to go resale week or Bonvoy Marriott I'd appreciate it. Cdirik, if you have a two bedroom you'd like to sell please let me know. We currently have Shell Vacation club, but have could never get to the Westin. Thanks!

I suggest asking this question as a new post in the Vistana forum.

No worries, you will probably just get more direct answers to your questions and not take this existing thread on the wrong track. Here is a link to the Vistana forum;
