Have you ever just booked off and found a last minute deal?

I have and boy was it great!

In 2016, I booked off 2 weeks from work. On the evening of my last day, I went to my travel agent and asked her to find me a last second deal. One where the plane is leaving tonight. She does her magic and off I go to:

The Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. I got a suite with Ocean View.

The price for 12 nights? 459.00 all in. That was flight, hotel and all inclusive meals and drinks.

Yup, I went from Travel Agent to Airport. Then, I bid on a business class seat for 60 dollars one way and 80 dollars coming home and got it.

Best deal I have ever had...

So, have you ever booked off, grabbed the first flight out to anywhere available at a great price?

Sort of....we had a New Hampshire ski trip planned in February a couple years ago. Then Marriotts Frenchmans Cove in St. Thomas opened up with II. It was 3 days before departure, but I was all over it. Packing for a beach vacation is soooooo much easier than a ski vacation!
