We cancelled our Hilton Head Mt Vernon/Charlotte trip for April as almost everything is closed and it is not worth the risk for what we planned to do. Wonder what percentage of occupancy there is around the country.

Yes, two trips automatically canceled in April (we had already planned not to go). We still have three reservations during May, but anticipate cancelling these reservations as well, sometime in April as we see how things unfold. We hope to be able to take a trip booked for late July, along with a family trip to Myrtle Beach in mid August. Only time will tell what's feasible.

I don't think it's exactly the same as cancelling, but we have not booked any timeshare trips using RCI Points or mini-system floating reservations. Same reason as the above- 'not worth the risk'. As well as- so what would we do there? Stay in and vegitate like we do at home. At least here we know what's in the fridge/freezer/pantry, and know the take-out places. We DO have a fixed, drive-to timeshare week in late July near Yellowstone that I suspect we'll use, assuming the Park and TS are open.

Unfortunately it looks like we are not going to Lake Chelan for Kokanee fishing this spring. The summer beach trip is likely to be cancelled. Basically, all trips that include a bunch of family members will likely be cancelled. Hopefully the corona virus isn't a big thing in Mexico because we usually head there in the winter.

I had a week at a timeshare in Santa Fe reserved for my sister and bil in April. That got cancelled. But I was able to use the deposit credit to book a week next July at the same resort. Hoping someone might want to come and visit us during Folk Art Market.

Our next timeshare vacation is in October. Dh is talking about maybe we should cancel, I'm still at the wait and see.

We were able to use our timeshare for two weeks in Maui just before everything fell apart.

I'm still holding out hope for an Oregon Coast weekend getaway for late May. I have another several weeks before I have to cancel, if need be. Here's hoping.

Other trips for later in the year are still in place, if they can be done. Those involve plane flights and rental cars and exchanges and such, so I don't want to mess with them unless I have to. Playing the waiting game for now.

I'll bet pretty high considering many timeshares have closed up for the time being. Our home resort in St Augustine Beach cancelled all incoming reservations with check-ins beginning last weekend and everybody who was staying there had until noon on Sunday to leave.

Canceled my May 5-12 to Raintree PV a month ago. At that time, I was afraid of getting trapped in Mexico if the border was shut. Based on what the Mexican government has/has not done since then, glad I did.

Cheers

We had resort closures for April trips to Napa and Pismo Beach. Three of our systems have closed resorts through April 30 ~ Vacation Internationale, Shell and WM. The only resorts we use in HGVC - New York - are closed.

We are scheduled for 3 weeks at Sunriver, OR starting May 1 but that seems unlikely.

Full month of travel booked for June but even that seems improbable.

I am 65 and my husband is 72 with underlying issues.

Cancelled 3 weeks on Grand Cayman 4/18-5/11. I have 2 weeks AZ and CO booked starting June 6. I'm not sure if that is going to happen either. I am 66 and my husband is 70 with underlying issues.

  1. Sunday River Maine (RCI) canceled for this week;
  2. Hilton Head holding (RCI) May 9 to 16. We will cancel once we get within the 30 day mark to qualify for RCI COVID cancelation policy; and
  3. Marriot DSV II holding November reservation in II. Hopeful things will be returning to the new normal by then

Canceled St Thomas for end of April. Changed to Singer Island Florida for late May. Will rebook closer to checkin if necessary. Holding out and hoping. Thankful Marriott Vacation Club relaxed penalties for late cancellation.

Have a cruise planned for this summer that is paid in full so we have to wait for them to cancel. If they don’t, we’ll be on the ship....it’s not Princess, thank heaven...

We still have our DvC for first week in May. Not cancelling until I have to. They will automatically cancel for me as it gets closer and WDW is still closed. I am holding out hope. DVC is being very good about putting points back if you borrowed and are trying to work things out for others that will lose all their points. The airline will also let me cancel and get credit. Even if just the resort is open I think we will still go if we can. After being cooped up for weeks with crummy weather I would welcome the relaxation. Breaks my heart this is going on.

Our next scheduled trip isn't until late Oct -- we'll be going down to Bonnet Creek in Orlando for a week; I sure hope this thing is cleared-up by then. As far as trips closer to this date, we typically take long weekends to areas close to us -- obviously we won't be planning any of those for the near future!

I doubt this "thing" will be cleared up by then. I think the most we can hope for is that things have settled into whatever the "new normal" is going to be (for the time being) and that maybe travel restrictions will ease up and people might feel more comfortable traveling.

We own two fixed weeks at Brewster Green in late May to mid June. I'm thinking it won't happen.

We cancelled a cruise followed by a week in a timeshare in Florida with our 12 year old granddaughter. This was very hard to plan because her parents are divorced and the weeks we planned this was her only time after school got out and before she is supposed to be at her Dads. We hadn't set up the flights yet which was going to be the hardest to do. We planned to fly from California do the vacation and then fly her from Fort Lauderdale to Kentucky. We had been trying to find out where in Kentucky would work out the best for him when this Virus was just starting here.
