As I tried to do a Search (including 'Advance Search'), I put either with or without the ' ' Orlando Restaurants.
I did it, then did Titles Only.

I was never able to get the info.

It gave me things about "Restaurants"....... all over the world !!!
It gave me MANY things about "Orlando" !!!

Are there previous threads, specific to Orlando Restaurants?

I am not really aware of any threads for this. Orlando is famous for every chain restaurant that is or ever was. If there is some chain you miss from your town or when you were a kid, you can probably find it in Orlando. We aren't really big foodies, but here are a few restaurants we've been to or heard good things about.

Ginther's Ice Cream - Not really a restaurant but rather an ice cream shop. I love the peanut butter malts but they have just about everything when it comes to ice cream. Just up the street from Grande Vista.
Saltgrass Steakhouse - Yes, it's a chain but we love their Pat's Ribeye. We've only been to the one on Vineland and not the one on I-Drive. We go at least once every time we are in Orlando. Buy Landry's gift cards from Costco online $79.99 for $100 in cards. Also, if you have AARP they offer a 10% discount and may do the same for AAA. Combined it's like getting 30% off. You can also sign up for Landry's Select to get preferred seating and earn points. It costs $25 to sign up but you get that back right away as a reward. You also get $25 reward every year in your birthday month. Though you can't earn points for the amount paid for with a gift card and they won't always allow you to combined AARP/AAA with Landry's Select at the same time.
Sickies Garage - It is a chain and they have two locations in Orlando. We only go for their all you can eat chicken wings which I think they do on Tuesday (boneless) and Thursday (traditional). They used to do that on Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm. I can eat my weight in chicken wings. We've had some of their other other food and found the quality to not be that great. Stick with the wings if you like wings.
Ford's Garage - This is kinda off our list now. They used to be better, like so many places, but quality is lower and their tipping/service charge system is unique. So make sure you don't double tip. It is a very popular restaurant.
Calypso Bar & Grill - It is across the street from Grande Vista in Parc Corniche and seems to be touted as a hidden gem. Every time we go to Orlando we plan to get there but never seem to be able to make it.
Gioradano's - Yup, kinda another chain as they have franchised outside of Chicago. We love the Chicago Stuffed Deep Dish pizzas.

High Tide Harry’s has excellent happy hour specials on drinks & food. We visit every time in Orlando.

Crafty Crab is another family favorite when close to Disney.

We don’t have Bahamas Breezes in Kansas, so we visited them during recent trips but they just closed all their locations. Otherwise we visit Disney Springs or Disney Resorts when we don’t eat at our timeshare.

We drank around the Disney Skyway at Christmas so that is another family activity we plan to repeat in Orlando.

Saltgrass is a fav when we go to the Landing in Branson, so haven’t tried it in Orlando.

Good idea for a thread!

I'm not sure why but Orlando seems to have an enormous number of all you can eat buffet restaurants. And some of them are excellent. One happens to be African (and American) cuisine restaurant Boma in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, But that's pretty pricy.

Otherwise, just do a search for "all you can eat in Orlando" and you'll see numerous options. I'd prioritize all you can eat restaurants with excellent reviews and ratings.

We found this great, locals Cuban place in Orlando, just a block or so down from the Pulse nightclub memorial. The name is Numero Uno Cuban Restaurant, and it was fantastic food for a very reasonable price. Not fancy, but a solid family place.

I spend atleast three months a year in Orlando and the surrounding areas.
I utilize the high end happy hour food frequently
Examples
Melting pot
Ruth Chris
Mortons Steakhouse
Laundry’s
They also have magical dining for a six week period in August
Truly amazing … includes Michelin restaurants
I also enjoy a few semi local places
Columbia in Celebration
Chuys.. Texas chain, several locations
Charley’s Stekhouse in Celebration
Town Tavern in celebration, great food and beer happy hour

For casual family sports bar food we like Miller’s Ale House, which has multiple locations in and around Orlando as well as other parts of Florida.

We also endorse Columbia in Celebration, and we had pizza at Giordano’s for the first time earlier this month (deep dish) and really liked it.

We used to really like Miller's Ale House, but their quality has just gone down too much for us. Also the fact that after eating ribs there in January I got the stomach flu, I just can't go back any time soon, if ever. I wish it was better because they seem to have held prices better than most other restaurants. Probably why they are always so busy.

I can understand that! There’s a local chain BBQ place near our house that serves passable BBQ but we don’t go there because we got sick after eating at a different location.

I now create a list in Google maps of the different restaurants I've tried in the area with notes on what I liked and didn't like. Also, please note that I have ordered for delivery from many of these places and haven't eaten there, so some of these may not be ideal for sit-down:

-Pho 88: pretty good (authentic)
- Caribbean Sunshine Bakery: jerk chicken and oxtail was really good
- Isan zaap Thai Cafe: only ok, boat noodle was good. Laarb was so-so. Noodles didn't have a lot of flavor
- Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine: pretty good (hummus, babaganoush and other dips, adana etc) but the lamucen (turkish pizza)was disappointing
- Mia's Italian Kitchen: really bad pizza
- El Patron Restaurant Mexicano: Chipotle is better
- Tropico Mofongo Restaurant: Really good. Skip the soup. Get extra mofongo with seafood.
- DOMU (ramen): The wings are really good (I think award winning). The ramen noodles are ok (not bad but I've had better). Can be a long wait for a table.

man the juicy/crafty/rockin crab places are popping up all over....and they are all super delicious! (if you are into seafood boils that is!)

there have to be 5 separate ones within 5 miles of my house and they are always packed!

What places are recommended for Disney Springs

We always enjoy Domu in Dr. Phillips.

I will say the holiday turkey (stuffing/gravy/cranberry) sandwich from the earls greatest sandwich place is truly one of the best things ive ever had!

a number of places have tried to duplicate it, but they have all paled in comparison. I will make a point to get one every time im at disney springs!

For a great fine dining experience, we always head for A Land Remembered. It is a high-end place, but worth every penny.

My wife and I are not seafood people. Every time we see something with the the word juicy and crab in the name we both go yuck. I don't ever want to eat a juicy crab. We were also talking about something, can oysters by worse or better from one restaurant to another? They aren't usually cooked or seasoned. So how can they differ that much from one restaurant to another?

def no issue with flavor in these places, all the food is boiled in flavor! make it as spicy or bland as you choose! I dont actually ever get crab, shrimp and sausage however

heck I even think the best part are the veggies, corn/potatoes soaked in the boil mix is incredible!

1000000% not a fine dining experience however, you will get messy (and your table will get messy)

Thai Thani Thai
Eddie V's
Rocco's Tacos

I would definitely agree with Giordano's Pizza. It is stuffed Chicago deep dish pizza. It is one of the place we always enjoy when on vacay in Florida.

We ate at Ford's last time - not very impressed.

There are some excellent restaurants in Winter Park - I think we are at the Ravenous Pig - that was excellent.

There are some interesting chains in Florida that we don't have around the NE. A lot of upscale cuban/latin style places. Most are pretty good.

Have a great trip.

Adega Gaucha, 7804 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy
Authentic Brazilian, vegetarian friendly, they do speak English but I enjoyed being able to practice my limited Brazilian Portugues.
$$$ but worth the experience!

NOT Raglan Road.... I had a steak that smelled like a dish rag (the plate it was on was filthy). I only ate bread that night.

Here are some higher end excellent restaurants in Orlando:

Salt and the Cellar by Akira Back (Excellent, inside ette hotel), a true culinary experience.
Sixty Vines (Excellent small plates, perfect for sharing, and a wonderful wine list)
Corazon by Baires (Fun excellent latin cuisine that turns into a party later in the evening. Def a scene)
Tamara Modern Indian Cuisine (Excellent Indian)

We went there last Thursday with a party of 6. $45 per person. Very elegant restaurant. Wait staff very kind and professional. We definitely were there to eat the meats. In the beginning the servers were coming steady but tapered off. Disappointed in that. Had to ask 3 different servers for another serving of the filet mignon. I highly recommend the brown sugar glazed pineapple. So good. It's definitely a 1 and done place for us.
We really enjoyed Kobe Hibachi grill. Great food and had lots of left overs to take home.

If you are in Disney Springs for lunch and like a good burger, try STK’s lunch special. $10 burger with house chips. Delicious! They also have a pricier steak special. Haven’t tried that one.

We had dinner tonight at the Polite Pig at Disney Springs. Not fancy at all but really good BBQ. We shared their meal for two with Burnt Ends added on. Everything was good. I wish we had something like Disney Springs in San Diego. Live music in different places and so many choices for restaurants.

We ate at Raglan Road two nights ago and had no problem with the food. We ate on the patio for a quicker table.
