In round numbers the US dollar is up, 20-25% over the peso in 2015. Our resort calls it "a 19% change in favor of the resorts." Our Royal Resort MF stayed flat this year. Anyone in MX have theirs go down this year ? And also really interesting to know if anyone ever saw them ever go down (and by how much), thanks ? Would hate to see the US dollar lose 20% :eek:, but glad to see flat fees this year.

Favor of the resorts means they charge you the same usd and get more pesos.

I am sure this helps their bottom line .

However - I would assume that some of their costs are in $ USD such as their relationships with exchange companies .

Non MF costs while staying at a property are in pesos in my experience - so you gain there . Good reason to put those charges on a credit card with no foreign transaction fees when you check out .
