I think I heard/read/imagined that Hyatt Maui was put on hold due to the economy. I would guess that the SoCal location was also put on hold? I really don't know for certain since Hyatt is so hush-hush about development.
They decided to complete Northstar , inspite of the economy. so Im thinking they may still be planning on Maui and Nport . Timeshares are probably more economicasl these days than hotel stays.

Come to Carmel the weather is 78 degrees no wind PERFECT.
The one thing we can hope for with Maui is that the approval is for a limited time (I believe 24 months) so that may push Hyatt a bit to go ahead with the project.
At least we can hope... I have heard that NY is officially on hold. (rumor but from a good source)
