Has anyone used MyVegas casino games for discounts?

Has anyone played games on MyVegas to earn points for free stuff in Vegas? Some of the things you can get are free buffets or BOGO at places like Bellagio, Excalibur & Mirage, free or BOGO to shows like Terry Fator, etc. Wondering if you really get what you are expecting. Very easy to rack up points which makes me a little wary.

Yes, I do it. I generally use it for buffet lunches or two-fer dinners at the Station casinos. The MGM properties have become extremely weak in what they offer.

My big disappointment is that I work not far from Red Rock Station, and want to get the free buffet lunch for two there, but it is always, always sold out.

I have been playing for a few months, as we are heading to Las Vegas in late September. We are staying at the Grandview, one of our favourite Timeshares. I am also trying for a Red Rock buffet for two, but, like Ty1on, have not been successful. I am also on the lookout for the Monte Carlo buffet for two, but it is always sold out as well.

Some of the buffets require a stay at their hotel, but the two mentioned above do not.

If you end up choosing between Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station buffets, pick Sunset Station believe it or not....they serve identical food, GVR is nicer atmosphere, but every time we have gone to either, the food was cooked and held far better at Sunset than at GVR.

I did manage to get a dinner two-fer at Red Rock, and enjoyed it.

I looked at Green Valley and Sunset Station, but was kind of holding out for the other two. Where is sunset Station? We have never been there.

Sunset Station is toward Boulder City. Almost as far as Red Rock but in the opposite direction. Near the 95/515 and 215 interchange.
