Has anyone tried any of these Miami car rental companies?

Rent-A-Wreck.
U-Save.
Global Rent A Car (InterAmerican).
Miami Beach Rent A Car (Exotic Car Rentals).

These all appear to be much cheaper than the "name brand" rental companies.
Anyone with experience with any of the above?

Thanks in advance.
Tim

I've rented cars from companies like these in the past. They aren't new cars - many of them were formerly owned by the big companies. They are about 3 years old or so, have some miles on them, but are not bad. Cars are built so much better these days than they were decades ago - even a rental car that's 3 years old isn't quite ready for the junk heap. When I rented from these companies the rental I got was still much nicer than what I had back home, and I always thought I got a pretty good deal. I rented these cars when I really didn't expect to need the car for much once I got where I was going. Worst case, they always offer a free replacement if anything goes wrong. How many of us have daily drivers with less than 10,000 miles? So, if you rent a car with 20,000 on it, is it really that bad? Not really.....

Have you checked out Fox Rent-a-Car? I believe they have a Miami location. We just used them out of Seattle and had a good experience. Their rates were about a third of other prices we came up with for our dates ($79/wk as opposed to $200-something, and got a 2008 car).
