Hi,
I am looking into buying for my second timeshare. I have been reading into hgv and thought hilton might be a good deal. I contacted a couple of the hilton points from the marketplace here and received email back from ryan@hgvresale.com. Has anyone dealt with him or the company? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jacquie

This might be a good enhancement to the marketplace (include the opportunity for people to review the seller/Renter similar to what EBAY does...)

Yes why?

I came close on 2 occasions. Ryan seem like a great guy. Had a phone conversation, he answered all my question promptly and accurately I now know. I felt no pressure.

Funny thing is, they have some great deals, but on both occasions I found better deals. I actually wanted to give him my business it just wasn't meant to be.

All their inventory are directly from Hilton, and if you give a lowball offer the Hilton reps just ignores them, or will take a long time to respond. Until couple months ago you can search all the HGVC inventory on their website, but not anymore , and also had to change their name to Helping Guided Vacations.
Most of the classified here in TUG are from them...

Lots of reasons but this pretty much sums it up.........

"had to change their name to Helping Guided Vacations" :ponder:

Lol! Makes sense now! I didn't know they did that!! I remember posts a while ago calling attention to the fact that their business name was inappropriate.

Before I found Coylumbride, I was attempting to search on his site and wasn't able to, then I received an email from him asking if I was still interested in Hilton. Not a day later I found another deal.

It actually doesn't bother me too much. Ryan said he used to work for Hilton. They specialized in Hilton Timeshares exclusively and he stated they are now expanding to include other systems.
