Has anyone linked their Hawaiian miles and Alaska miles accounts? I find info online saying you can link them, but not how to do it. Or transferred miles between accounts?

Not yet. Have minimal miles in Hawaiian. What is the benefit of linking?

I purposely signed up for an Alaskan credit card and got a nice miles bonus when I heard there was a going to be a merger and when the merger happened I eventually was able to transfer the miles, that I ultimately used for a Hawaiian Airlines trip next April. Worked out great.

I went into my AL account and cannot find how I did it. I have a feeling because I don't have any miles to transfer maybe the option isn't there. I can see my transfer in the activity folder but not how to do it. It shows the transfer was managed points.com

I just tried it for DW's account and it said she wasn't eligible. ??? No explanation why she wasn't.

You can move all the miles from one to the other. It may give you enough miles for a free ticket.

Oops! Her birth date wasn't correct on her Hawaiian Air profile. Once I corrected it, the miles transferred successfully. :)

I tried this about a month ago without success.
When I click above link -- I get error message:
"Sorry, you have been blocked."

Anyone else have this response?

Yes, I get that response as well. I don't know what it means.

I linked mine and wife’s. I had her open a Hawaiian card and I met the minimum spend by buying HA miles during the 2 for 1 special which netted 160,000 Hawaiian Miles in my account and 70,000 in her account. I then transferred all those miles to Alaska.

I‘m Alaska MVP Gold and she’s MVP. I did the status match and I’m now Poonani Platinum and she is Gold.

Last I read the Alaska and Hawaiian systems will not be linked together until 2026. With Hawaiian you can still transfer miles for free to others with Hawaiian accounts as long as you have the Hawaiian Mastercard.

I was interested in doing the status match since I am also Alaska MVP Gold. Can you share with me the process to status match? Is there an online form on Hawaiian?

You don’t need the online form. There is a link on the Alaska site. Really easy.

Update from the BEAT OF HAWAII

…Starting in August 2025, all HawaiianMiles members will be moved to a new and unified loyalty system under Alaska Airlines

…The changeover becomes official in August 2025. No exact day has been announced when HawaiianMiles will fully retire, but travelers should expect the transition to happen sometime after mid-month. Once it begins, HawaiianMiles will no longer be a usable program. You won’t be able to earn or redeem miles under it, and the branding itself will disappear….

Hawaiian’s credit cards, issued by Barclays, will also be phased out. A formal sunset date hasn’t been confirmed, but applications will likely close in the next few months. When the cards are retired, we are unsure if holders will be migrated to Bank of America’s Alaska Airlines credit card products…

Free bags just became more accessible

...Alaska Airlines Visa Signature and Business cardholders now get a free checked bag for themselves and up to six others on the same reservation when flying on Hawaii flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines. In a reciprocal move that will also be well received, Hawaiian’s Barclay Mastercard customers now get two free bags when flying on Alaska-operated flights....

The companion fare gets a Hawaii twist.

...One of the most popular perks in Alaska’s toolkit is the annual companion fare—the airline’s BOGO ticket that, until now, could only be used on Alaska aircraft. That changes this summer, when those companion fares will become valid for flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines within North America. Many of you have commented on wanting that feature to be extended, and now it will be...
