They told me 7 - 10 days before it is back on the account, but I have yet to see it credited back.

Has anyone got their reservation fees refunded yet?

I cancelled a nonrefundable hotel room with Hilton and got the credit already.

HICV has given reservation fees back starting March 25 for as long as the resort is closed. May 1st dare to this point some resorts closed till June.
Received money back very fast.
Had to cancel 4 reservations the week before March 25 and did not get fees back.

I had an April reservation which I cancelled on April 1st, and got my fees refunded on the 4th.

I got a refund on April 6th. Can't remember the exact date I cancelled, but it seems like the refund only took a couple of days.

(A second cancellation was for a 7-day reservation that had no reservation fee due to elite status, and so naturally there was no refund for that one.)

Yes, took around 10 business days. Pretty happy with all the steps HGV has taken. Be Safe Be Strong and Be Home!

Turns out because I changed my reservation and then cancelled, it didn't refund me automatically. They had to force it. It took about 21 days to get the refund from first request. It took about 5 days from 2nd request.

I figured I might as well cancel and get a refund especially if they are going to let me make free ones right now. Duh!!! That is a no brainer.

Nice to see that you folks are getting this. We paid $129 for this feature (no booking fees), so glad you're cashing in on our added dues :)

As a curiosity question: If they had not opted to waive the fees, and if ours were not free, I still assume that they would have refunded fees for reservations that they cancelled, even though they don't formally cancel,, but I have to do it? So far, we've had a W. 57th and an Elara cancelled by HGVC, but I had to do the actual cancel in the first place and haven't gotten around to the second one yet.

Cheers.

What is the feature for no booking fees for $129? I've never seen this for HGVC...

Step 1. Own a bHC property
Step 2. Pay the $129 a year.

Step 1 is often the sticking point :)

Cheers.

Ok, what are bHC properties?

By Hilton Club. They are a subset of HGVC. They used to be the Urban resorts that acted almost like hotels. Places like NYC and a Washington DC were where the bHC resorts were. They have smaller minimum night bookings and many have owners lounges where you can get free food and drinks. They had very large owner booking windows (regular HGVC members have a 45 day window). Now with the new Oahu, Okinawa, Charleston SC and Los Cabos resorts, the destinations are a little blurred and, even the booking windows are even extended to the normal HGVC booking windows.

When in June? If you’re y reservation starts on June 15th or earlier, you will. After? Who knows.

You can move your reservation to June 15 or prior. Then call to cancell. That way you can get your fees refunded. A variation of the move reservation 31+ days forward then cancell to get your points back.
