Has anyone ever been to Universal studios for their "Halloween Horror" Time?

I was on their website yesterday and it looks like so much fun. My kids, ages 9 - 12 are at the age where they love that stuff right now.

If you've been, please let me know anything you particularly enjoyed or whatever you'd like to share!

I've been to the Halloween Horror Nights a few times. They do have some special events, haunted "houses" and so forth that are fun to see. Also, with all the special events going on the lines on the popular rides are very short. My biggest complaint is that there are too many crowds of out-of-control teenagers roaming the park. These are local kids, not with any adults. I thnk my wife lost her desire to go back when we had to watch one drugged out girl around 15 or so passed out and getting sick right in the middle of the walkway.

Your kids might be a little young as most of the kids are 16yo and older and many college kids attend these night events.

I agree, most of the Halloween Horror Night crowd is local and teenaged. My kids have both gone to the event when they were teens and even now that they are in 20's. You should try Micky's not so scary Halloween party for your young ones. TerryC

I realize Universal's security people walk a thin line between harassing good people vs. policing the total creeps, but they really need to crack down on the stuff that goes on there. Mickey's Not-So-Scary is a MUCH better event.

My wife and I have attended HHR on a few occasions . while we enjoy it I think it is not for 9 -12 yr olds . we get there early and do the haunted houses first then hit the rides while everyone else is doing the haunted houses . it is like a halloween mardi gras with liqour stands and " shot girls " all over the park . we also try to attend on a non-weekend night . this yr I believe there is a wed . night which I hope cuts down on the local teenage crowd . it is alot of locals because as florida residents we get in for $25 -$35
which is a good price for 7 haunted houses and most of the attractions that are open . then we high -tail it out of there as it get later (and the crowd gets drunker ) . as suggested try MNSSHP at disney .

 Thank you all for the heads up!!! I did not realize that it was like that. You've saved me a huge headache! I would have had a fit if I had shown up with my little guys and there were drunk teenagers all over.

On to Plan B:) Mickey sounds good!

If your kids go dressed in costume, it will be all that much more fun for them. Disney has Trick-Or-Treat stations outside most of the major rides, and the kids have a great time. So do the parents.
