I am thinking of buying one on Groupon for $99. Wanted to know if any of you have tried it and your experience with it.

Thanks for any info!

NO because I read of terrible pain after the procedure. One guy said he wanted to slash his dentist's tires............

I have a low pain threshold.

I had it done a few years ago. I didn't think pain was that bad. Nobody really noticed a difference in my teeth but I guess my teeth weren't too bad to start with. Seems like it ran a few hundred dollars and they gave me some trays with gel for upkeep. $99 is pretty cheap unless there are some add ons.

I called a local dental clinic to schedule in a theeth whitening offer in the newspaper and was told that the first thing they do is have the dentist perform an examination, which isn't included in the offer.

When I asked about what all is included it was just the theeth whitening, no cleaning or anything else.

We were in Bucerias Mexico a couple of years ago and my wifes first cousin talked me into going to his dentist. They did 5 dental examinations by the dentist, drilled out the back of one of my theeth twice to bleach it, cleaned all of my theeth and did the zoom whitening for $285.00.

The zoom didn't hurt me at all and I was very happy with the results.

I had zoom 3 years ago for a lot more than $99. But it didn't work. The doc's excuse was that it doesn't work on grey teeth, whatever that means. Waste of money and time. No pain in the procedure.

I did in office whitening followed up with at home trays. It wasn't Zoom but there was a light and accelerate applied to each tooth.

I did experience sensitivity. I went to a baseball game that same day and it was windy. I had to stop talking to people because the wind hurt!! That said, it almost immediately subsided the next day and I continued the at home trays.

I wasn't pearly white but like others have stated-it all depends on what you are starting with. My sister has naturally white teeth and whitening makes her teeth look outstanding. Mine have always had something of a gold hue and never really become totally white though they probably never were even in childhood. That said, the every day stains were removed and I liked the results.

Your mileage may vary..based on your own known sensitivity and teeth color.

Edited to add : you should always start with a thorough cleaning.

I have done it a few times over the past years. Once it wasn't painful but the results were not as white as I was aiming for. The second time it was much whiter but then I had the pain people mentioned. It is a very annoying pain which I never experienced before. Especially in my lower teeth I felt a strange sensation. But it went away after a few days, weeks. However I didn't like the idea of the pain. I thought it was wrong for the teeth so I didn't do the treatment again. However the dentist says that no damage is done but it juit felt wrong. Now I just use the products from the drugstore. The whitening toothpaste is good as well.

Try the "Crest 3D 2 hr" advanced white strips (the 2 hour ones for sure)...Did it twice over 2 days, I had great results, slight sensitivity for few hours, avoid hot & cold..HAPPY NEW YEAR to you & all Tuggers, hope 2012 is filled with Blessings and joy!!!:)

ps. Amazon has it for $24.95, vs $64 at drugstore.
