I booked a 2bedroom at Harbour Lake using an AC for the unbelievable price of $229. I will be taking my daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old grandson. Although the Harbour Lake is my home resort I have never stayed there. We are not planning on leaving the resort, just need a change of scenery and we are driving. Any tips regarding building or room location I should know about? Also, as an owner should I expect any preferences to be granted?

Harbour Lake is a pretty small resort. With occupancy at many Orlando resorts still running fairly low, they may have a couple of the buildings closed. You are never a far walk from any of the pools either. While we have never stayed in them, we really liked the location of the buildings 12 and 15 along the lake. There is also a nice boardwalk area there as well with plenty of seating areas. Very quiet and peaceful away from what can sometimes be pretty busy pools. You won't get the usual pre-arrival email asking for villa preferences, but you can certainly call and make a request. They may say they aren't taking them. We had that experience at Grande Vista, but they noted it anyway. Enjoy your stay! I have a number of videos from our stay at Harbour Lake on my YouTube channel if you want to check them out.

@dioxide45 does a great job with the videos! He was always at a different resort this summer than we were lol!
We stayed 2 weeks in early June- building 15, 2 bedroom, I was "work from home" and often started my work on the lanai facing the lake. Seems like it is far away-but it is a small resort. That side has the Pirate ship pool, but the other pool with splash area and slide is short walk. It felt like there were more loungers around the Pirate ship pool (larger deck). It is also where the activities take place-daily ice cream social (get the refillable cup so you can have a sundae every day -i walked more I swear!) The pirate shop pool is zero entry on that side. The other pool has the splash pad and that side has the mini golf course too. It is a nice resort for families!

Grande vista honored my request for building and top floor for our August stay - was kinda surprised actually but I loved the location. We had a 3 bedroom then.
Will try for my favorite building at Cypress Harbour at Thanksgiving-the pre-arrival email didn't ask for preferences and said some buildings closed but figure it is worth a shot.

I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbour Lake last week. We had a 2 bedroom in building 15 overlooking the lake. Whereas I usually prefer and request pool view we found the quiet and tranquility of the lake was just the thing we needed. Although the unit was smaller than most other Marriott 2 bedrooms I have stayed in, it had been recently renovated and we were impressed. We checked in November 15 and were relieved to see that social distancing wouldn’t be an issue since there were hardly any other guests but by our last full day, November 21, the number of guests grew exponentially and we were happy to be on our way. We, in fact, checked out one day early. My grandson had a wonderful time, especially on the pirate ship and so did both of his parents supervising him, although not so much on the splash pad... you see, the pirate ship is heated but the splash pad isn’t and that water was COLD!!!! Lol.

All in all, I can see us returning to this beautiful family resort again and again.
