I know they have renovated a few buildings......the ones left are really in need. We plan to be heading back there in October. Any owners know the schedule for the rest of the buildings?

Hi!
Do you know what buildings have been renovated. I bought a Getaway for my nephew in May. Would like to get him a great room. Thanks.

I wish I had my map - but I can't put my finger on it. I know the buildings on the left as you drive in have been renovated. Sorry - don't know their names.

Westayed in building 12/13 last week and it had been renovated.

thanks a bunch! Anyone else with a recent stay and can tell me which have been upgraded?

The building facing the lake was renovated as well, I think that is 15 but can't remember.

The last newsletter that we received that included updates on renovation schedule was back in the Spring of 2010. Here is a synopses of the details.

Buildings: 10,12,13 - Refurbished in Jan/Feb 2011. Stainless steel appliances.
Buildings: 14,15 - Refurbished Jan/Feb 2010. Stainless steel appliances.
Buildings: 28,29 - Refurbished Sep/Oct 2012. No Stainless steel appliances.
Buildings: 30,31 - Were opened in Dec 2008. Have not gone through any renovation yet. No Stainless steel appliances.

All buildings have the new Marriott bedding package.

How new is that bedding package? We hated the bedding at Harbour Lake when we were there, too warm. This comforter could keep you warm in the arctic and we were here in Florida. We felt it was the same at Ko Olina, too warm with that heavy comforter.

Anyway is this a new thing? Can you ask for less heavy weight bedding? We had the ceiling fan cranked up all night every night.

I agree with you on the comforter; it's nice to look at, but it's really hot and heavy when you're under it.

The best solution that I use is to take the blanket off the couch, and place it on the bed instead. The comforter is hidden in the closet for the duration of the vacation.....

.

The Marriott resorts we have been to actually have a duvet with a duvet cover. Not really a comforter. They switch out the duvet cover with full clean but the duvet remains. This is better than in the past when the same comforter could go unwashed for months.

Hello,

I will be going to Harbour Lakes in August and saw on some other thread (which I can't find at the moment) that someone had stayed in Building 28 or 29 and said that it had already been refurbised with SS appliances. I am trying to comprise a list of buildings to request to try to get one of the refurbushed units and was wondering if you knew if 28 and 29 were completed yet. We are getting a 2 BR unit exchanged through II.

Thanks so much for your assistance.

Does anyone have any updated info on which buildings have been renovated? Or, can anyone recommend some buildings? We will be going there in July, with a 4 yr old and an 8 yr old, and have never been there before.

Any info will be appreciated!

Here is a fairly recent thread.

I was just there this past week. Was in building 30 and can testify that 30 and 31 have zero updates but still nice units. I do not believ the units adjacent. To 30 were renovated though it's possible some of the units were. Very nice resort regardless if you get an updated room. Call the resort and ask
To speak to the room coordinator though. I think they do their best to honor requests but I to asked for an updated room and to be in a unit nearest a pool. Didn't get either request but I did get three units right next door to each other and this was most important to us. Just a fun resort and perfectly Marriott even without an updates room in my oppinon.
