We are going to Harborside for Thanksgiving for the first time as owners. Last time it was an II exchange with no view, but I loved it anyway. My daughter and I each have 3 bedrooms with Saturday check-in so it looks like we'll be in Building 5, Ph 2. What units do we want to request and what is the likelihood that they will honor anything at all? A waterview would be nice. We'll have many kids from 5 to 19. I don't recall ever getting any emails asking for preferences when I have rented it.

Thanks for your input.

Harborside doesn't take building or unit requests anymore. They only take requests for high or low floor, and for your multiple rooms to be located near one another. But as with all requests, they are only requests. Rooms will more likely be assigned based on timestamp and status.

I'd suggest requesting anything but the first floor.

Is the first floor really the ground floor or do you take an elevator to it? It's not a walk-out unit, is it?

First floor is the ground floor. They have elevators for the remaining floors.

So no elevator is needed to get to it? My daughter may prefer a first floor then.

Correct. However, when I had a first floor building 5 unit I had no sunlight and a view of plants (better than the road, but still...). View is the last of my concerns at HBR, though, so in the end it really doesn't make much of a difference.

You're right. View doesn't matter that much at Atlantis. You're in the water more than you're looking at it. I really wouldn't want a dark unit, though. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.

If you want first floor, light, and a somewhat interesting view you may want to try to get 1770/71 and 1772/73 as a second choice. Like it was stated above you cannot request a specific unit, I would suggest asking at check in.

The first choice will give you pool and Nassau (in the distance) view. The second choice will be pool view. 1762/1763 followed by 1760/1761 may not be that bad either. All other building 5 3BD units will be dark or only have views of other resort buildings.
