Hello,

Newbie here. Traveling to Harborside in Nov with family. This year we decided we would like to swim with the pigs? Anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you in advance!

We haven’t done that but we did do the dolphin experience last year. Not the full swim with dolphins, but we got up close and we’re able to touch them. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. No matter what experience you choose it is best to make a reservation. We made ours once we got there. Have fun!

Best regards.

Mike

My suggestion would be to not bother. Did this last year in the Bahamas off a cruise ship and was VERY disappointed. Was basically hanging out at a beach trying to coax the pigs into the ocean with food. I'd say there was less that 15 minutes of total swimming that went on (and not at one time). Bottom line, if you're happy just hanging out at a beach with people spending lots of energy trying to convince pigs to get in the ocean, go for it. Otherwise, find something else to spend your money on.

Have never swam with the pigs in the Bahamas, but this explanation made me laugh. In other words, the pigs really don't want to be swimming?

Thanks everyone.
We did the dolphins a few years ago (deep swim since my kids are teens). I was looking at the excursion Atlantis recommends for swimming with the pigs at the exuma cays. I also found one that goes to rose island with sandy toes. I’ve got some times to make decisions. Happy Sunday!

We just got back a few weeks ago and also used Powerboat Adventures. Had a great day, but next time we will use Pieces of 8 as I heard really good things from other guests staying at Atlantis.

I did it in exuma. I added a few days on to my harborside trip and flew to exuma where I took a boat to stainel cay where the original pig Island is. I know some in the Bahamas have brought pigs to Islands closer to Nassau. While it was fun, looking back I kind of feel bad for the pigs because tourists are now feeding them things they shouldn’t be eating and due to the pollution tourists are leaving behind they are investing plastics and other garbage. People are terrible. Anyway, I heard there are pigs on rose island but I’m not 100% sure about that.

some have suggested powerboat adventures for the day trip to the exumas. It is very expensive but I have not heard a bad thing about that excursion and it’s been around for YEARS! If you’re looking for a day trip, I’d go with power boat if it’s in your budget.
