I have reservations for Feb 2009 at the Harborside at Atlantis. I understand the average temperature in Feb. is 77/65 and I am wondering how those who have been there find their experience that time of year.
I have not been to Harborside in Feb or March, but have been in the Bahamas at that time period. I felt that the weather was really nice, but the water was too cold for my tastes. But beside that water temperature, everything was really nice in the Bahamas! It sure beat the weather at home!
I've been there the last week of January. I too find the water too cold at that time of year -- but, I find it cold in April as well -- I'm a little high maintenance when it comes to water temperature!.
On the one hand, much of the fun is water-related ... that's the downside. But, like tomandrobin, I'd rather be there than home in the cold -- that's the upside!
February can be any temprature. We were there a couple of years ago at that time and it was warm and very nice, Some of the pools can be cold, but the aqua adventure water is warm.
I was there in Jan a few years ago. I think the only body of water heated was the hot tub at Harborside. All other pools (Harborside & Atlantis) I believe are passively heated.
