How is it that resort closings inc can do the whole closing for under 500 well with that being the case.I will just give this unit away then like I said I no longer want it so as of now it free for the taking just pay whatever it costs to transfer it to the new owner
Several weays. First, if they are not getting a Bahamian attorney to sign off on the deeds, they technically are defective even though they got recorded. It is a requirement in the Bahamas that an attorney fromthe BAHAMAS be involved in the transaction.
Second, if you looking at their E-Bay auctions, you have to remember that much of their inventory as well as closings come from their donation companies in which the old owner has paid a substanial sum of money to them to relieve them of the burdean of the timeshare.
They use some of that money to offset their costs such as ebay advertinsing fees and any closing fees. As I do not know if they use a Bahamian attorny, I can not speak for the work they do in the Islands.
We use a Bahamian attorney and follow all the rules and laws of that Country. I know my transfers are valid transfers. If you want to compare prices of properly completed Bahamas transactions, I would suggest calling Lennox Paton in Nassau and ask them what a transfer of Harborside costs. There are only a handful of people doing Harborside transfers the proper way.
Wouldn't it be bad if some years from now a defective deed surfaced because some owner didn't transfer it right and the old owner was joined in a foreclosure action?
