When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

I love the Beatles....have since I was 9

Even though they had an agreement that all songs published by them would be listed as Lennon-McCartney, this is definitely all Paul. John had nothing good to say about this song.

For more info on the writing credits see.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lennon–McCartney

I love a lot of the Beatles. My ex is a rabid Beatles fan, so I remember a lot of the Paul vs John even though the credits are all shared.

I'm not sure how many people know this, but Paul McCartney was inspired to write the song by a dream he had about his own mother, "Mary" (although she'd been dead for 10 years).

Paul -- She was reassuring me, saying, "It's going to be OK, just let it be." I woke up and thought, 'What was that? She said 'let it be'." That's good. So I wrote the song... -- as told by Paul to James Corden's on the Late Late Show (6/21/2018).

Also, tomorrow will be the 50th anniversary of Bobby Orr's legendary overtime goal where the Boston Bruins swept the St. Louis Blues. Who knew that those two teams would meet again in the Stanley Cup finals 49 years later?

Hard to think it's been that long. But then, the time in my life has flown by so fast, I can't believe it. I keep looking for the Replay button. :)

The Beatles' music from beginning to end, will always be part of the soundtrack of my life. :)

Timeless. I grew up listening to the Beatles and still love them and follow any news. I had the greatest experience when I was an exchange student in Brighton, England. Of course a few of had to go check out Abbey Road and St John's Wood. We went to the studios and discovered Paul McCartney was recording. This was back in 1978.. so we went for dinner , returned, noone there in the parking lot and Paul walked out the door. A big gray limo was waiting. He was very cordial and friendly to us star struck 20 yr olds, asked about our year abroad, signed autographs and took pix. I'll always cherish this memory.
