handicap friendly cities with a mobility scooter

My wife and I have been traveling to Hawaii for over 40 years. We have spent most of our time in Honolulu because the ease of going anywhere with a mobility scooter (and no need of a rental car). Because of my health issues the long flight is getting more difficult. We would appreciate recommendations on cities in the continental U.S. where we could get a similar experience we've enjoyed for years in Honolulu. We also usually travel in Feb - March to get to a warm climate. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks

Try Hilton Head. It's flat, has bike/walking paths all over the island that would work for your scooter and accessible ramps to some beaches. We were there mid-February and it was sunny but chilly so consider March.

The town (neighborhood?) of Coronado in S. CA is very mobility scooter friendly. It's also beautiful, but very expensive. Coronado Beach Resort is the only timeshare located there.
