It was late on Christmas eve in Hanalei way back in 1948.
There were several knocks on the door of a poor Hawaiian family. As they headed toward the door a baby started crying.
There, wrapped in blankets, was a newborn baby girl!
The family took her in, loved her, and raised her as their own.
To this day they have no idea who the mother was.
Both the baby girl, now a grown woman, and the Hawaiian woman who raised her are still living and members of Wai'oli Hui'ia Church.
Merry Christmas, Sterling
