When I purchased at Hacienda Encantada, they promised to take my Pono Kai (Kauai) and Pueblo Bonito Sunset as trade-ins in reducing the sale price. After I got to the US, I was contacted and told I owed them $3,000 in fees for the "trade-ins." After weeks of aruments, they agreed to take $1,700 and I would keep Pono Kai and Sunset.
Last June I attended a resale presentation by K&M Liquidation of Houston, Tx. I gave them $4300 to take both timeshares. They then sold to their "partner" Kirk Marketing & Consultaion of Knoxville, TN (Title Co.). Nine months later, nothing hashappened as there are no "interested parties." I am out $4300 and still own the timeshares and will have to pay maintenance fees again in December. I am wondering if it is time to consult a lawyer. If I still own the timeshares, I want my money back. Also, the original company K&M refuses to return my phone calls and texts. I guess they think they're out of the deal now that they gave to Kirk. Anyone else gone through this?
