Hacienda del Mar = No Points Option?

Hello all,

I currently have a timeshare with the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I was recently told by RCI that I was not eligible to join RCI Points membership because the Hacienda del Mar was a Weeks membership only. I am able to join the Weeks membership if I'd like.

Can anyone confirm this about the Hacienda del Mar being only a Weeks membership only and not a Points membership?
