My wife and I are very interested in joining the H10 timeshare. I have not seen any for sale here. Can anyone point us in the right direction?

We first learned about it in their sales pitch at Edan Bay in Jamaica. They have several ai’s in the Caribbean. (Jamaica, mexico, Dominican Republic. They are a RTU. we really love the food and the rooftop rooms that they have with the privileged butler service.
We are big fans of the ai type of vacation. I would love to talk to an actual member to see how they book the room, upgrades etc etc. I will learn the Ricky part of it if and when we decide to trade.

This was my post from back in June.

My wife and I went through a presentation at Eden Bay in Jamaica. We liked what we heard. The sales man was a real piece of work. The price was really high we thought. It was around 30k for 100k points and some weeks. The weeks can only be used at their AI’s. Can anyone help point us in the right direction for joining this club or something like it. I just stated reading the forums a few days ago. We are new to international travel and would like to continue visiting other locations like Mexico, Central and South America as well as Italy and Europe. I have no experience with the two big trading companies. We would use our home resort more than half the time.

I don't understand. You were at a presentation and you want people on TUG to "point you in the right direction"?

Most of the ppl on Tug have said not to buy at the presentation. You will massively overpay. I have not found any for sale on the tug forums. I have found a few on some other sites though. I just don’t know enough to buy from those other sites.

What’s odd about that?

Is this actually a timeshare or some kind of membership deal? The website says H10 Hotels and it's not in either RCI or II.
Whatever it is, you are smart to do your due diligence outside of the high pressure sales.

If that's the case, have you thought of acquiring on of the many free or low-cost timeshares in Mexico and using those as traders when you want to trade rather than paying $30,000 upfront?

Also, a lot of these AIs have very high AI fees when you trade into them or even rent them.

As well, if you plan to visit Europe, including Italy, remember that there are very few timeshares in the big cities if that's what you want to visit. Does H10 timeshares have accommodations in the big cities in Europe where you wish to visit?

It seems people here know little or nothing about this timeshare while he attended a presentation. OP knows more than we do. I've hever heard of H10, have you?

I have never heard of it. If you type H10 timeshare reviews into Google, you'll get some interesting information.

I don't know anything about H10, but I'm curious about the AI aspect when combined with timesharing ...

I can exchange into AI resorts through Interval International, but I have to pay the AI fee directly to the resort. Each time I've checked rates, it is more expensive to exchange into one than it is to buy direct from the resort and that is before factoring in my maintenance fees. What was the selling point at the presentation you attended? As an owner, what extra fees do you have to pay to use your RTU weeks? Do owners get a big discount on the AI fee?

I am an H10 owner so definitely not a scam. Below is the website.

H10 is a membership to AI resorts in Mexico, DR, Jamaica and Spain. Similar to Palace resorts where you purchase a membership that entitles you to x number of weeks to use at their resorts with AI fee much lower than booking on Expedia plus you get "owner" only perks such as access to "owner's lounge, elite rooms, special beach section etc.

For H10, in addition to the weeks I get 80,000 RCI points a year and the annual fee is $200

Fair enough. However, at least for the OP, is it worth the initial $30,000 buy-in fee? This isn't a resalable asset like a deeded TS is despite what the salesperson likely tried to convince the OP of.

Yea, I can't see a huge buy-in for a vacation club TBH.

I agree not worth it the initial buy in fee. I wasn't advocating for that, just that it isn't a scam. OP didn't buy at the presentation based on the post and found tug so I assumed he knows enough to buy resale and was looking for info

My guess is H10 bought out some other timeshare organization that was absolutely AI. The options for AI resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean far out number non AI resorts. As someone mentioned above the Palace resorts are such as system. In these systems if your an owner you get a discounted AI fee from exchangers and some added benefits. I don’t know where to tell you to look, but joining Tug and looking here would be a great start. I believe folks are absolutely giving these programs away. The good news is you usually don’t have to pay for anything till you book it.

The exchange companies have so many AI resorts you don’t even have to trade/exchange a week to get one you just buy it off getaways or extra vacations. RCI runs special for 299.00 for a week plus AI costs which you pay the resort for not RCI. There are websites that get you into RCI without you being a timeshare owners or paying a yearly membership fee. Google it something will show up.

My family are not AI fans but I know tons of people love it. I spend many weeks in Mexico both Cabo and Cancun/Playa Del Carmen area and it is becoming more difficult each year to find a resort that is not AI. Some are optional AI which are where I book if I’m not staying somewhere I own. Most of the resorts I own at are offering option AI packages where you can do as little as one day. We enjoy Haciendas Tres Rios near Playa Del Carmen, MX we do optional AI there and simply pay as we go and have always found it very reasonable.

Take your time and look around there are so many options. Start by trying a couple of weeks by renting from an owner.

I checked RCI today for a sampling of exchange resorts in Cancun/Riveria Maya there are 115 timeshare resorts offered. Only 10 of those resorts are non AI or optional AI. Out of those 10 there are 5 Vidanta resorts which the resort fees are ridiculous. Point is AI resorts are everywhere no reason to purchase a contract or a vacation club membership to access them.

Yeah, even though the OP hasn't come back, I'm guessing that he was wanting to buy the initial membership fee but was hoping that a current owner was reselling for well below the $30,000 buy-in fee.
