If I wish to rent some of my weeks, I am checking the price on marriott.com and then going to like take 30-40% off and round down, does this seem like an ok strategy or how do you guys price?

I would look at redweek to see what average price is going for. If less than MF, just use your week. If more than MF, price accordingly.
If there is no pricing available, maybe 10%-20% off Marriott.com would work.

The prices on agents websites and redweek very greatly, but will just try and find a common line and go with that!

You might also consider listing it with a rental agent. Let them know what you want and anything over that they keep. Their commission may be covered in their asking price. Lots of different buyers/renters out there, some may like Redweek, others just contact an agent. Just try and use as many sales channels you can.

You should compare similar rooms and amenities. As has been said, see what others are charging and always keep in mind what the resort charges for the room/week. The resort is
not your main competition though, other owners are.

Always check as many sites as you can such as Airbnb, Homeaway/VRBO, Trip Advisor, etc. for price ranges. Trivago will also help regarding prices on the open market.
