This is the issue - this is a Vistana owner's reservation for a Vistana resort, and Owner Services is insisting they fill out the form to add a guest's name. :doh:

This is the issue - this is a Vistana owner's reservation for a Vistana resort, and Owner Services is insisting they fill out the form to add a guest's name. :doh:
Is it an Abound points reservation or a StarOption/Home Resort reservation? Is the regular Vistana.com form not available for them to use?

It is a Vistana home resort reservation, and I get an error message when I try to change the name online on the Vistana website using the standard procedure. I think I will try the Bonvoy number.

It went through using the Bonvoy number - we'll see what happens! :rolleyes:

Then I suspect you can use the 13 digit member number that is used as the login when voting proxies. This would be on the annual meeting notice for any resort you own. It is also available in the URL when you click through to any of the Abound booking pages.

Sorry, I didn't realize this was a Vistana reservation. My most recent experience is only with my Marriott ownership.

That's OK - it's a strange situation, and I don't think (2) different phone Reps knew what they were talking about! We'll see what happens!!!

For reservations made with Vistana (not SVC/WVC reservations using Abound points), you go to Vistana reservation details to change Guest Name. That form doesn't require Customer ID.

Unfortunately, we get an error message when we try to change it online - that's why we called Owner Services.

We called the Vistana number, and talked to two different people who insisted that it's a brand new policy for Vistana owners.

Update:

- They accepted a Bonvoy number as the customer's ID.
- They sent out a MVC confirmation in the guest's name, but not a Vistana confirmation.
- They did not change the name on the Vistana reservation.

Will keep you posted...
