Is Wyndham still canceling reservations if a guest pass is requested?
In my case, I would like that to happen, so it probably won't.
I have a reservation at Myrtle Beach Ocean Boulevard the week after the 4th.
Inside of 15 days.
But when I search for availability there, there is plenty.
I am guessing it is due to Myrtle being a known hot spot for CV19.
Worth burning a free guest pass to see if they cancel?

They are no longer canceling GCs via a mandatory policy. That said, owner reservations are still being prioritized over GC reservations. It’s not really possible to tell if your theory would work at the last minute. If you don’t care about losing a GC in the process then it’s worth a shot IMHO, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up in the process given it’s less than two weeks out.

If it were me, I'd call and talk to a VC, also. Things change so quickly, and Wyndham can be helpful/reasonable. Doesn't hurt to try.

I used a GC in Destin and Bonnet Creek this week without problems. I have some friends coming down next week so I’m praying they don’t get cancelled! That would totally stink

Your suggestion worked out great.
The VC was able to cancel the trip that is now 6 days ahead and return my points to me.
Thanks
