You all have seen that famous line on the reservation print out. If your guest arrives without a guest certificate, GUEST must pay the guest certifcate fee at resort.

Is this really true? Has this happen to anyone?

I doubt it as how would the resort know who the guest is.

It would save me on people trying to cancel or wanting to change the guest name after it is added. But Wyndham would probably go about stealing my units.

Never went as far to try it.

I would write my famous Fixed Week guest letter of introduction. I would include the Wyndham reservation number, too.

If you booked your fixed week for your use and then rented or gave to a guest, I don't think you need a g/c. I've done two such rentals of my former fixed weeks with Wyndham (Kingsgate & Flagstaff) and all my renters had was a letter from me authorizing their use of my fixed week.

I dont pay a guest fee at the Avenue Plaza resort for my floating weeks. There is none required...The Wyndham reservations desk, at my request, adds the guests name to the reservation confirmation that they send me...and I fax a copy to the resort

I have often thought since this resort has so little Wyndham points inventory, that when I make a reservation with my points, Im might just fax the confirmation to the resort with a letter from me naming the guest...but I haven't tried that yet.

Now that you mention that Ron, I think that is how I handled the last one I did about 3 or 4 years ago at Flagstaff.
