I have some rescued points that will expire at the end of the year. I thought about offering to book a stay for any of my siblings, but I have never done this before. Any things to watch out for, or do I just do this through a counselor?

Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested, I just did this...I booked my reservation on line, and then did the on line counselor chat and added the guest certificate information. I still need to get final confirmation, but this was all pretty easy.

A shame that you had to answer your own post.
I guess that some topics don't generate much interest.

But I would like to say that, when I wanted to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon in 2002, a relative offered to use his points for a reservation, called up HGVC and got a GC. He was a generous soul, it was a great trip, and its what got us interested in this stuff.
