I believe I know the answer to this, but it's never come up before because I use so few GC's.

If I apply a GC NOW, for travel after the first of the year, will it consume one of my existing GC's or one from 2025?

I believe Housekeeping is applied and consumed in the use year of travel, but GC's and RT's are different. Trying to figure this out, because I want to gift my parents a vacation starting 1/2/2025, but book now and hopefully use one of my current year GC's.

Housekeeping I think reset on your use year, but GC's and RT's reset on January 1, correct? I have an October UY.

A GC put in today (12/3/24) for a reservation starting in 2025 will come from your 2024 allocation.

Just realized that you have a October UY. What I can tell you is that, in my experience, the GC comes from the current allocation, regardless of when the reservation starts. The system will tell you where its coming from before you do the final step in the process.

Thank you, but am I correct in saying that guest certificates reset on January 1 regardless of your use year?

I also think (that for a 2025 reservation) if you put a GC on this year - and reservation is booked during an owner priority date - it will use the 2024 allowance (rather than the 2025) and you'd still have your 2 for next year left.

So if you have GC's and/or guest allowances - it's something to consider before the end of the year.

Yeah, i looked and the owner priority dates are not a concern for this booking. I had thought about that and was concerned about that too, but it's not. Most of the owner priority dates end December 31
