Years ago on Kauai I had a dish full of Guava Macadamia nut ice cream--from Heaven. I've never been able to find it since but here is my own receipe. Hope you like it.

1. Buy the most premium vanilla ice cream you can find.

2. Let it get Dairy Queen soft.

3. Put a generous dipper full into your dish

4. Add one heaping Tablespoon's worth of choped Macadamia Nut

5. Add one heaping teaspoon's worth of Guava Jelly

6. Stir the concoction well

7. Refreeze it if you have lotsa will power

8. Just before serving drizzle the top with a Guava nectar

9. Ask the flight attendant for a seat belt extension on the way home.:hysterical:

Be sure and give the Kauai Kid credit.

Sounds delish! Ice cream is one of my favorite snacks or dessert but I try to limit it to once a month. I take Crestor and really try to eat well. Don't always succeed.

My DH would love this but he is diabetic, so I am not going to tell him about it. :D

Where do you get/order guava jelly and nectar, and what brand if commercial? :D

I also have a new taste treat that involves guava. I make marguaritas with the regular frozen marguarita mix and add a quarter cup of guava juice to the mix before slush-ifying it in a blender. Yum Yum!

(I am vacationing on Kauai - that's where I got the guava juice).
