I was just looking around for what was available in March and didn't provide a location, it takes a minute or so to pull up the list. To my surprise there are a number of Great Wolf Lodges listed now, although the points required are very high.

Yes I’ve seen those. Points are crazy high. That Scottsdale location is less than 2 miles from my house near the Talking Stick fields.

It is a partnership similar to arrangements with Fiesta Americana except at a much higher price point for HGVC members.

I think the main purpose of this is so the salesgoons can show more dots on the map.

Agreed. The list of destinations is two or three times what it was before they added the Great Wolf locations.

I agree that it’s dots on a map, especially in the Midwest. BlueGreen helps with this as well. I also think it’s to entice younger families. When our kids were younger, we stayed at several GWL in Ohio and Michigan. They loved it. They do a great job catering to families with young kids and preteens. The Magiquest was always a hit.

Great Wolf Lodge had an agreement with DRI before they were bought out by HGV. I wonder if they hadn’t been associated with DRI if there would be an agreement now.

Well as a senior who owns HGVC they have no interest for me. I would like to see some “better “ resorts. I feel that Hilton has left the HGVC member behind and is now catering to the Max owners.

Agree. As an empty nester I have zero interest in GW. Maybe someday when we have grandkids but it would only be for a night or 2. I am surprised they made it HGVC and not HVC or Bluegreen. Perhaps it is set up to be an aspirational upgrade for these groups or to attract a younger demographic to HGVC.

We are going to the one in PA over Thanksgiving, but we just wanted something within driving distance to burn some expiring points and we like waterslides and there was tons of availability, so it was an easy pick. I don't anticipate doing this again, but it fit the need and the family is excited to go. It doesn't really seem like a "timeshare" (zero kitchen in it) but I think the "dots on the map" comment above is spot on.

Way too may points imo. That’s worse than some of the Hawaii resorts.
