Grandview week 52 owners

Does anyone know how week 53 is treated for Grandview owners who own a week 52

The account I am curious about is a points account but it does have a deeded week 52.

I have a 52 on the "weeks" side; you don't get to use for free. The last time a week 53 happened I got a letter IIRC giving me the option of either declining use or paying an extra maintenance fee for use of the week (which could be used, rented, or deposited with RCI). I assume points would be the same.

Just updating this. I did receive the letter with notice that I could use the week 53 for 2016 (providing that I pay an extra MF).

But the letter noted it was not just week 52 owners that were entitled to do so, but week 50 and 51 owners could also use.

I assume is on a first-come first-serve basis (I called yesterday and was able to "book" and have deposited into RCI - it's already showing in my account!).

I own a Week 52 at Grandview in Points. If you own week 52 in weeks or points it would say so on your deed. For Points owners you need to request week 53, pay the additional MF, and they will have the additional 122,000 points deposited into your account with RCI. You can take the week as a reservation at the Grandview for New Years as well, but this must be done during the appropriate Home Week/Home Resort booking period.

I own a Friday to Friday unit and this year is the year I get the additional week. I believe that Sat-Sat ownerships also get the additional week due to the leep year this year. The additional week comes around once every 6 years or so.
