Hi

My reservation says that MGV phase 1 will be undergoing renovation from September to January. Can anyone tell me which buildings/village that is?

Also, which builings at MGV are NOT lock-offs.

Thank you

I may be wrong, but I don't think the lock off units are grouped in separate buildings. All the 2 bedroom units are lock offs (or when we originally purchased in 2004 as well the last time we were there in '07). Not sure how the final buildings were suited out.

You could contact the resort directly if you are concerned about the renovations. Generally speaking, the renovations take place when the resort is booking at a reduced capacity and the entire building is closed. In 2005 we booked a getaway week and were located in a building that was adjacent to 2 buildings that were closed for cleaning/repairs etc. It was great, we had the pool nearly to ourselves..

Have fun, it is a very nice location

I believe the last two buildings built were built with non lockoff configurations, don't know off the top of my head what the building numbers are, but I look and update this post later.

Actually, my memory is that the newest buildings do not have lockoffs. (The city of Orlando decided lockoffs require more parking and GV didn't have room.)

However, they will certainly place you in lockoff units if you request it.
